B. F. Catchings was born 26 Feb 1856 in Lincoln County, Tennessee, married Mary Jane Alice Craig 16 January 1882 in Travis County, Texas. They had the following children: James Thomas (1882-1944), Willie Aid (1885-1956), Albert Levi (1887-1957), Elic Troupe (1889-1954), Allie Bertha (1893-1938), Annie Mae (1895-1980), Benjamin F. III (1898-1969), Mary Agnes (1901-1926), Meridith Monroe (1905-1930), and Charles Casmere (1908-1969). B. F. and Mary Alice moved with most of their family to the south Texas area to work on a ranch in Refugio County. He died 28
Jan 1924 and Mary Alice died 3 Jan 1929 in Refugio County; both are buried in the Woodsboro Cemetery. James died 13 Dec 1944 in Taft, San Patricio County; Willie Aid died 12 Jul 1956 in Woodsboro, Albert died 28 Dec 1957 in Williamson County, Elic died 16 Aug 1954 in Bay City, Matagorda County, Allie Bertha (Coates) died 11 Jan 1938 in Kerr County, Annie (Windsor) died 24 Apr 1980 in Woodsboro, B. F. III died 22 Jun 1969 in Refugio County, Mary Agnes(Nickar) died 26 Apr 1926 in Freeport, Brazoria County, Meridith died 9 Aug1930 in Refugio County as a result
